We recently came from a trip to Tokyo with my side of the family. We were a group of around 20 people and it was filled with shopping, eating, and just plain fun. We took our two year old on the trip with us. She instantly loved the cold weather, the fried rice, the sights and sounds, and simply being with everyone.
A blog about sharing my experiences and baby stuff we love, to help other moms, one story at a time.

My Mum Is Fantastic
Like most moms, my daily schedule is full of things I need to do or attend to, as well as be able to spend quality time with my little girl and my husband. I find that it is when I am in the shower or when I am suddenly awakened at 3 a.m. that I hear my thoughts.
Growing up, I could never imagine myself as a mom. In fact, even when I gave birth, I felt that being a mom was not an instinct that all women have. Given all the classes I attended when I was pregnant I didn’t know how to be a mom, maybe because I didn’t know what it felt like to be one. I found myself thinking about my own mom, how perfect she was, how she knew just what to do or say, how she managed to soothe my fears and just kiss the tears away. I always wondered if I could be the same.
